NEW YORK, May 9 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.3 jolted 282 km ENE of Lospalos, Timor Leste at 22:45:44 GMT on Friday, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 164.9 km, was initially determined to be at 7.12 degrees south latitude and 129.14 degrees east longitude. ■
